Have you ever wondered what the design process is like? The design process is highly collaborative. I want to bring you along with me as we make design decisions for your company. Outlined below is roughly how the process goes from project to project. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email, I would love to chat with you.
I want to get to know you and your company! What do you stand for? What are your goals? What are your company’s needs? I want to make sure I truly understand your company and the problem we are trying to solve, before I start designing.
Outline the project
I’ll put together a project brief outlining the problem, deliverables, deadline, and budget we discussed.
Research & Mood boarding
I do some of my own research to better understand the problem, what other people are doing in the same area as you, and how you can stand out. This leads to brainstorming some inspiration for a visual direction through mood boarding (a collection of images).
It’s time to start sketching and running through ideas! The sketching process is about coming up with as many ideas as possible and narrowing them down to ensure we move forward with the strongest ones.
It’s time to take the final sketches and start turning them into more defined ideas.
It’s time to pick a final direction from the prototypes and begin making revisions to step towards a final design solution.
Once the final edits have been approved, the project is complete! It’s time to see the design come alive in context.
